Rafa Silva, the Portuguese winger who has become one of Europe's most exciting young talents, made his mark in a big way during the 2015-16 season with Benfica.

The former Porto starlet was on loan from Manchester United for the campaign and he scored a remarkable nine goals in just ten games for the Portuguese giants, including two hat-tricks against FC Porto and Académico de Viseu.

Silva's form was so impressive that he was named the top scorer of the Primeira Liga and was also nominated for the Golden Boot award, which is given to the league's top goalscorer.

His breakthrough was not without controversy though, as he received widespread criticism for his reckless tackles and aggressive style of play. However, despite this, he still managed to score 19 goals in all competitions, helping Benfica win the title and reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Silva's breakout year earned him a move to Chelsea last summer, where he has struggled to find his feet under manager Maurizio Sarri. The Italian coach seems to have had trouble adjusting to Silva's style of play and the player himself has been unable to live up to expectations.

Despite this setback, Silva remains a highly talented player and could yet make a huge impact in the Premier League if he can learn to control his aggression and adapt his game to the demands of English football. His potential is undeniable and it will be interesting to see how he develops over the coming years.
